Dear priests of the churches in the Diocese

Today the daily number of deaths is due to the COVID pandemic has exceeded 1300 people and the COVID outbreak has gone out control in London.

Based on that all liturgies and church services are to be suspended and the church is shot in the South, namely the churches of Bromley, Margate, Guildford, Bournemouth, Plymouth, Bristol and Swansea until further notice.

This is in consideration as some of our community have contracted COVID and also the fear of others to attend prayers due to the spread of the infection.

It is our responsibility in front of Our Lord to be faithful before Him in the safety and good health of our congregation.

The announcement of the Prime Minister to lockdown has allowed for communal worship to continue. for the reminder of the churches in England worship can continue with the previously agreed safeguards

Every priest to manage the services of the church and whether to pray or suspend services during this exceptional.

May you be healthy and absolved in the Holy Spirit.

His Grace Bishop Anthony
